Spent the day in DC yesterday. Yes..just a day. More exhausting than I thought, but the train wasn’t bad. Train ride home..eh. Obese woman sat next to me silently farting the whole way. No good. (side note to obese people who are possible offended: the world was not made for you, and I didn’t make the world. But your fat ass should have to buy two train tickets instead of shoving your massive ass with its over gravitational pull into the tiny seat next to a normal sized person. And i’m sure you don’t like dealing with the normal sized persons elbows slamming into your tit every five seconds. Eat a salad.)
Anyway, went down there for the day to accompany the guys in Dry the River to NPR for an interview with All Things Considered (it will air in April…I’ll definitely post a link!). Schmoozed some NPR folks, took some of the DtR boys out for coffee with some NPR folk and went on my merry way back home. Very sweet and fun group of guys, I wish them much success.
In other news, I’m doing this diet thing with KC….not really anything crazy, but I’m eating a lot more salad than I usually do and much less carbs and cheese. Not really suffering that much with it. I’m feeling pretty satisfied, have lost a bit of weight in my middle (BEACH, BITCHES) and he and I have been cooking together a lot more, which is good fun.
My Coachella passes arrive in the mail last week, I’m pretty sure I posted a pic. I’m very excited for this! I’ll be tweeting as the days and bands go by when I’m down there (@gabstah_) and updating my instagram as well (i can’t remember my user name…but click on a picture in one of my previous posts, I’m sure you can find it). Really, really psyched!
